Marek elected Chairman for 2011.

At the Annual General meeting of the Bridgwater Czech-Slovak Friendship Society held on January 19th, MAREK DELONG was elected as the new Chairman.

Marek, a Czech worker who has lived in Bridgwater for the past three years, is from Havirov in Moravia. He becomes the second Czech National to hold the post of Chair succeeding Marketa Weaving who stood down this year.

The Bridgwater Czech Slovak Friendship Society was formed in 1991 and was instrumental in establishing Britains first post-Velvet Revolution Czech twinning (Bridgwater and Uherske Hradiste).

Tim Mander (Vice Chair)

Dave Hanna (Vice Chair)

Brian Smedley (Secretary)

Kath Pearce (Treasurer)
